Command Sergeant Major, 96th Sustainment Brigade, United States Army Reserve

Command Sergeant Major Briggs was selected as the Command Sergeant Major for the 96th Sustainment Brigade on 6 March 2009.  Her previous assignments include:  Command Sergeant Major, 191st Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Command Sergeant Major, 172nd Medical Battalion.  On 21 January 2003, she was mobilized with the 172nd Medical Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom and served in Kuwait and Iraq until March 2004.  Her assignments prior to her selection as Command Sergeant Major in May 2002 include:  First Sergeant, Logistics Support Company, 172nd Medical Battalion, Ogden Utah; NBC NCO, HHD, 172nd Medical Battalion, Ogden Utah; Command Language Program Manager, First Reserve Forces Intelligence School; ANCOC ,BNCOC, Electronic Warfare Signal Intelligence Analyst and German instructor, First Reserve Forces

Intelligence School, Fort Devens Massachusetts; Voice Intelligence Analyst, 226th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Devens Massachusetts; Enciphered Communications Analyst, Berlin Germany; and Traffic Analyst, Berlin Germany.

CSM Briggs’ awards include the Bronze Star Medal; the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters; the Army Achievement Medal with one silver leaf cluster; the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters; the Army of Occupation Medal; the National Defense Ribbon with one bronze star; the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device and bronze hourglass; the NCO Development Ribbon with numeral “3”; the Army Service Ribbon; and the Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon with “numeral 2”, the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Combat Action Badge and the Drivers Badge.

CSM Briggs is married to David Briggs and has two sons Troy – 21 and Nic – 19.
